Prevention
Focus Area: Reducing cancer incidence through intervention.
Eligible Projects
Action research demonstrating a measurable increase in HPV vaccination uptake.
Early Diagnosis
Focus Area: Improving screening rates and early detection.
Eligible Projects
Projects focused on increasing participation in breast, colon, or prostate cancer screenings.
Symptom Science
Focus Area: Enhancing patient well-being and management.
Eligible Projects
Research on skin care (pre/post treatment) or sexual health/well-being across the cancer continuum.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this grant.

Membership
Current active member of ONS Nigeria with membership fees paid.

Academic Standing
Currently holding a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Public Health.

Methodology
Preference is given to Action Research — projects that implement and measure a specific change or intervention.

Commitment
Ability to provide a clear timeline for data collection and reporting.

Publication
Willingness to publish work under ONSN guidance.

What is the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONSN)?

ONSN was founded in 2018 and formally relaunched in June 2024.
Who can become a member?
Membership is open to registered nurses, student nurses, cancer survivors, cancer care advocates, and any individual or institution with an interest in the cancer space.
How do I join ONSN and what are the fees?
You can become a member by visiting our website and following the direct link to the registration page. Membership is on a yearly basis, with the following fees:
- General Membership: ₦10,000
- Student Membership: ₦5,000
- Institutional Membership: ₦50,000
- Diaspora Membership: ₦50,000
