Fatima Adam, RN, R.Oc.N, Vice President, Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria Fatima Adam is an accomplished oncology nurse, mentor, and healthcare advocate with over a decade of clinical and leadership experience. As Vice President of the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria, she plays a pivotal role in advancing oncology nursing practice, education, and advocacy across the country. Fatima began her career in pediatrics before transitioning into oncology a specialty she describes as “without boundaries,” allowing her to serve patients of all ages and backgrounds with compassion and skill. At the Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina, she played a pivotal role in growing the oncology nursing team from 2 to 26 nurses in just three years, reflecting her vision for capacity building and excellence in cancer care. She deepened her expertise through advanced oncology nursing training at the NSIA-LUTH Cancer Center, one of West Africa’s leading cancer institutions. Fatima is also the visionary behind The Trailblazer Oncology Nurses, a developing mentorship platform focused on empowering the next generation of oncology nurses through guidance, professional development, and leadership support. Her passion lies in strengthening oncology nursing in Nigeria and beyond, ensuring that cancer patients receive equitable, holistic, and evidence-based care.
